The International Division of Bayside Orthopaedic, Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Center seeks to develop relationships with orthopaedists, other physicians and hospitals in other countries around the world.

Our physicians have an interest to help train physicians in other areas who may not have access to the state-of-the-arts facilities and information that we enjoy.

As a treatment option, certain patients may wish to travel to the U.S. for treatment of their orthopaedic condition. We continue to develop relationships with physicians who wish to refer their orthopaedic patients to the U.S. for treatment.

The orthopaedic surgeons of Bayside have traveled to many regions of the world and understand the cultural needs of the international patient. The International Division was created to meet the needs of those international patients. We work closely with the family physician at home to ensure full understanding and communication pre-treatment and post-treatment for optimum recovery during follow-up.

For our Latin American patients and physicians, we offer an opportunity to use English if desired but the assurance that we have a bilingual staff when the use of Spanish is preferred.

Complete arrangements for housing, transportation and communication are made for the patient and the family so that they can concentrate on the medical treatment and recovery.

Translators are available locally for our non-Spanish, non-English Brazilian patients. Other language translators are available as well.
